How about we get to a THIRD, new medium?
Film is dead, its a super small niche thats been already covered and pushed to its best performance already. Its done. Digital looks LIKE SHIT, and when it doesnt, its because its trying to be film, which is lame and cringe.

We need a new medium for photo, distanced from chemical and number crunching. I propose next photography is done as a form of sculpture. A physical material that reacts to FULL light spectrum but not permanently like an emulsion does, but fluid, can also return to its original state, so it can be used forever, and has molecule level resolution, no iso, no grain, its a literal impression of reality.

It's actually pretty rare for someone to shoot film with a really sharp lens and then scan it at 3000+ DPI, it hasn't and probably won't be until good scanners are normal

Retard opinion. Learn2colour theory and abt grey scale and you’ll understand why digital looks the way it does & why ppl emulate film.

Why does film make people look more beautiful?

Because modern film emulsions represent 160 years of technological progress.

Digital represents about 30 years of progress.

Because digital shooters got cucked into buying features they don’t need to solve problems they don’t have.
