A+ movie
> KODAK 5053 TMY
> they are colour slides
Why should I watch this film when it's lied to me before it's even started?
They inverted the image you goober.
love Waters
still need to rent this..
I wouldn't. It's a dirty movie without being explici. I'm trying to erase it from my conscience ever since I saw it, and I'm failing at it. It's ingrained piece of shit stuck in there, and it's bringing me down as soon as I think of it.
that a canonet?
Yup, Canonet 28 to be exact.

Pleb pick
Where can we see them?
Terrible photo terrible movie outside that one shot where the girl removes her panties
Ozu is well known for his pillow shots for a reason.
Wong Kar-wai's Fallen Angels is also a nice pick i guess.
Glass' score for that movie is absolutely stellar.
This and Baraka. The 3rd one isn't as good IMO.
remember watching synced with meshuggah koloss while on lsd and still remember laughing my arse off at the immense heavyness of the most tectonic riff playing over this old women smoking a ciggarette in slow motion
tokyo noise it's on youtube
Not sure if i would actually recommend watching their movies as a whole, but Harmony Korine and Larry Clark are also photographers.
They're fucking weirdos tho, like actual freaks.
That was a nice watch, thank you anon!
I also didn't expect Haruhiko Shono to pop up, that was pleasant surprise.
>Not sure if i would actually recommend watching their movies as a whole
why tf not? harmony makes great stuff
>/film/ is so dead it's on Wyato now

Ritual (2000)
/film/ has its own board, you just need to search for it
People here will do anything to avoid talking about photography
>tsai ming liang
>apichatppong weerasethakul
>jia zhangke
Extremely good taste. Tsai's films have really influenced my photography and sense of aesthetics in general.
push
not really about cinematography, I just think everyone should watch Predator

why is arnold such an sjw these days?
being a moderate in today's politics mean you get called a nazi or an sjw.
>not really about cinematography
But it is, the scenes after he's left alone are excellent, they are framed to show more jungle and thus emphasize his loneliness.

Fallen Angels by Wong-Kar Wai
trainspotting 2 is also very pleasant to watch, every scene really has a great composition
Shame the story sucks, which makes it a failure as a movie
i disagree strongly
^tho theyre not really Wyato related but whatever. at least "kids" was made and written by 2 photographers tho
really pleasant doc, reminds me of going through negatives and old photo equipment with my mom
Man the directors are utterly pathetic pieces of shit, you all hear them talk of literature, painting and poetry but NEVER fucking ever you will hear them mentioning photography or photographers, which is the closet art medium to film and it is at the very roots of film.
A film director is pretty much useless tbh. For example in Tarkovsky’s case, his best films are adaptations of books. And he wrote scripts with other screenwriters. Then you have the actors, which do at least half of the job and are also authors in their own right (on Stalker, the acting is flawless and Kaidanovsky is able to convey such depth of emotion that he probably carried that film on his shoulders). The music, one of the most remarkable aspects of his films, is also written by someone else. There are people responsible for the cinematography, photography, sound design, edition. Fucking Tarkovsky just came up with general instructions most of which he could never execute. If he’d worked with different people the result would’ve been drastically different. A director is hardly an author yet the film is attributed to him. I’m not saying collaboration is bad but the cult of the film director seems ridiculous. Fuck these hacks.
These pathetic scum plagiarise photographers without any push back whatsoever. For example pic related is by Harry Callahan
This is from a Bela Tarr movie, huh
They homosexuals don't even admit that they were "influenced" by photographers.
Fuck man I really hate the scum known as directors.
nigga thats just some trees lmao.
Hell no
The horizon line, the subframe made by tress, the character placement and the actual tress. It's all too similar, there is little more foreground in Bela.
The """inspiration""" is clearly there. But you hear no mentions of it.
of course the phenomenon you describe happens, but your example is the worst you could have picked up and its a "its just you" case. youre autistic, anon.
you ok?
No
Denial
enjoyed the overall color work and framing in this movie, great work of art imo
